Update: rescheduled AGAIN

Tesla Model Y Buying Experience…was excited, now it’s turned into a terrible experience…

@elonmusk what’s going on here?

It was super easy to make the deposit and buy the vehicle on the app right after Thanksgiving but since then, it’s been a terrible experience.

This was all meant to be a Christmas/Pregnancy gift for my wife.

The original person I talked to on the phone said he would be my “advisor” through the entire experience, since then I’ve heard from a different person every time they reach out.

He told me that accepting negative equity is no issue at all, and costs $15/month per $1,000 of negative equity. Actual monthly cost is MUCH higher come to find out.

Then I was told that Tesla does not accept negative equity.

Then I was told that Tesla does accept it but not all of it.

I was told that our vehicle would be in the following week (early December) but continued to get delayed day after day, week after week. Our delivery date continues to be pushed out time and time again, getting us excited only to let us down, usually the day before or the day of delivery.

We were then told we had to pick our car up on Christmas Eve (but we already had a 10 day trip to go visit my family for the holidays) and if we didn’t pick it up on Christmas Eve, it would be given to someone else.

I was also told that the 3 months of free full self driving and super charging wouldn’t apply to me since I’m picking it up after the new year - even though the delays were caused by Tesla the entire time, not me.

I’ve had to retell my story countless times, it’s as if every person who reaches out to me through text, the app and the phone is coming in blind and not seeing what’s already been discussed.

Now, we were set to pick it up today, December 11th @ 4pm and the date has been moved once again today.

Not only that, but we asked that the delivery location be in St. Petersburg, FL, only for it to be moved to Sarasota Florida without even asking us…what gives?

@elonmusk , I’m a big fan of you and everything you do, but this went from the “easiest” car buying experience to one that has left us disappointed at every turn. What do you suggest from here?
