@steakshapiro My oldest did gymnastics and other two have played volleyball…
The ROI is completely worth it… for them, for me/my wife and for our family and the relationships built and lessons learned.
@Yooper_IA@mcmbaseballpod Fully agree. I think this one is painful bc the top prospects aren’t performing as hyped (or we hyped them) to be bc they represented hope for better days. That’s a very Detroit ethos.
When hope is proven wrong, it decreases the joy of the next round of hope.
@jennfrey Aren’t the kids better at the sports than they’ve ever been?
And I’ve enjoyed every minute of it watching my girls do gymnastics and volleyball at high / elite levels.
Feels love you’re saying that we’ve killed the parks & rec that you romanticize but wasn’t very good.
@TigsTown@MIKoenig44 They pitch once a week. Very common in college.
It’s not the 125, it’s the too many pitches too many days in a row… college doesn’t have the short rest of youth baseball or mlb.
@Sepiyoung@CNBC Doesn’t capitalism solve the disease more effectively than the charity?
Doesn’t that charity only allocate resources to pharma or research while also charging an admin fee anyway?
