any books you recommend?
I was thinking shitposting will actually work
but doesn’t
I was just randomly posting without an story, without topics
that will work when you already have attention and eyes on you
but i need to learn the basics
question I have these days
has still value to show what are you shipping ?
maybe before it was special bc it was difficult
but now looks that doesn’t have value, like people doesn’t matter
at the end what they just matter it’s the numbers
show me the money
but good features, good ideas, solving complex problems, is gone
💰 Money lessons learned from my solopreneur journey:
- Have 6 to 12 months of living expenses and can’t touch it
- Diversify clients so no any of them represents more than 1/3 your income
- If your income drops 30% you can still pay for your living
i am pivoting to a solopreneur
so i just cloned myself into an AI
and will sell that to my clients now
199€ and 299€ /month plans
- tech agent: 199€
- marketing agent: 199€
- tech + marketing: 299€
it is similar to grok bot prices, so market prices
but instead using self hosted in Hetzner, and talk to bot via WhatsSapp
wdyt
in 2017 when I first started learning “how to create websites”
all websites were wordpress + elementor
and they all looked the same
and right now using AI if you don’t specific any design/reference
they all feel same
so same as 10 years ago but with new tools, just increased productivity
maybe its just my perception, but it feels like it is lot of noise everywhere
how do you keep your focus?
i have screenzen for only entering social media in a window from 3pm to 9pm
but stills feels like i dont have the right focus..
and about productivity apps i tried them all, but always coming back to apple notes
feels like the more you want to be productive, the less you are
and what only matters at the end is:
- your discipline
- your plan
- doing the work
The goal was never money.
Money is a consequence and a tool.
What I want is freedom of choices:
- Freedom to prioritize health
- Freedom to prioritize my family
- Freedom to choose where I live
- Freedom to choose who I work with
- Freedom to travel and experience things
And I know that one day I’ll succeed on my goal just because I love what I do
i was wrong
all this time i have been a freelancer
i was still exchanging money with time
so now i am changing that, it’s time to become a real solopreneur
a 1 person business that still works while i sleep
hetzner cost optimized VPS servers are again available!
go grab yours
i have been using CPX22 (2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM) for 3 months now
and completly replaced my Mac!
sometimes i was hitting limits for more than >5 concurrent sessions
but right now I took (8 vCPU, 16 GB RAM) just like my Mac air, except it doesnt have screen, browser, etc so it has more free workload
planning now creating an entire hermes squad
lessons learned from my first month posting on X
- find, follow and act with a purpose
- become a better storyteller
- share value or work that is useful for me
from now on i will apply, learn and keep going with those in mind
just surf the wave 🌊 🏄♂️
50 years ago, the fields were worked by 50 farmers with picks and shovels all day in the sun
now it’s just 1 single guy driving a tractor sitting down with AC working half day
AI is same
“everyone can cook food at home, but restaurants still exists”
can we compare software with restaurants?
everyone can cook their own food at house
so why still exists restaurants?
they exists all kinds of them, chains, fast food, healthy, italians, spanish…
cheap ones, and expensive ones
maybe not a fair comparison
but trying to find a response that now everyone can cook his own software too
but you still go to restaurants bc is easy, is already made for you, is an experience
and similar, you still have Chefs, or authority persons, that always will have clients bc they cook the 3 michelin food for you, and that’s equivalent of someone with an audience and strong personal brand, distribution
and of course, it’s just a 1 time experience vs most of the time people will just cook at home
but, try to become that famous Chef where people will search for you, and have a waitlist of months to buy you 👨🍳
skills to learn now:
curation + convenience + reputation
taste + brand + expertise
so maybe now, you cannot sell to fitness people, they will prefer to cook themselves at home
so you still listen to what they want or still have a big market to sell them
