I've really enjoyed banging these daft cards out over the years but it's time to call it a day. I'm a bit sad to bring it to an end but 40 years seems like enough. More to the point, the world is so horrific these days that it's now beyond my skill & imagination to lampoon!
@AlisonSpycops I'm sure they've been digging out & shredding your files, mine & a lot of others for a decade. I just hope they're as incompetent at that as at the spying .
@MaryBarbieri I'm glad you were inspired - but it was by a different David Hoffman, the 'lost everything' DH is a fine US film maker. I'm a UK photographer.
Nothing new.
Downing St, London 15/1/00. Protective gates rammed by a 28 year old male driver. An American woman from New Jersey was thrown into the air and suffered a broken leg as she pushed one of her children out of the way.

If you can stick a few quid in this hat it will help push back on a bit of the current evil.
I just supported this case! https://t.co/gSP9IVOWqB via @CrowdJustice
Thanks Gentle Author for running my Crisis At Christmas photographs from 40 odd years ago. Crisis back then was a wonderful chaotic almost-falling-apart brilliant and inspirational escape capsule for hundreds of desperate people.

It's taken 47 years for most of these photos from an East End pensioners' club Christmas party to see the light of day but a pleasure delayed is a pleasure doubled.

@DreamlandUK Nearly a week since my underblanket failed after barely 1 year of use. Repeated calls to @DreamlandUK promise a response that doesn't come. Disappointing and shoddy service from what I now know to be an untrustworthy company. #badservice#badcustomerservice#fail
There's no way that this government will do it so I've donated to @trusselltrust to support their work to #StopUKHunger, as no one should have to go hungry. Do the same?https://t.co/9CWzO33flm
Today is the anniversary of the Met Police blocking, trapping and beating the anti-racist march on 16 October 1993 calling for the BNP ‘bookshop’ in Welling to be closed.

My jaw hit the floor when I discovered Boris Johnson left an emergency NATO meeting after the Kremlin’s chemical warfare attack on Britain & flew to an off-the-books meeting with an ex-KGB spy.
Yours should too.
This is how it happened.

Remember the outrage caused by the strip search of Child Q in Hackney?
Today I can reveal that five children are being strip searched every week by the Met, without being arrested for anything first.
More than half of the children were black. @LBC https://t.co/dnmB7IupHZ
Criminal justice system in a state of collapse.
Ditto health service.
Largest police service is under remedial measures.
Record inflation.
Highest taxation in 70 years.
Foodbanks running low.
No freedom of movement.
But Johnson "got all the big calls right".
