La chanson lève le voile sur des siècles de domination islamique turque. Elle rappelle comment les jeunes filles catholiques marquaient leur peau de motifs chrétiens pour échapper aux enlèvements, aux conversions forcées et à l'esclavage sexuel.
Un grand bravo à ces femmes qui, à travers ce devoir de mémoire, affirment nos valeurs culturelles occidentales chrétiennes ainsi que l’identité européenne.
