If I was redoing this now, I'd still choose Vercel again. The only difference is I'd enable spend management for their team (a feature Vercel released in late 2023) to make it easy to catch this kind of runaway spend.

When you have 0 users, worrying about servers and scaling is a huge time sink. I wanted their team to be able to focus on building a product people wanted and acquiring users. It was so effective they were able to focus entirely on scaling their postgres db and keep their site up

Tailwind is playing a totally different game, and makes it easy to build your own design framework using their utility classes.

Been using it in prod for >1 year and love it!
