If I was redoing this now, I'd still choose Vercel again. The only difference is I'd enable spend management for their team (a feature Vercel released in late 2023) to make it easy to catch this kind of runaway spend.
I keep seeing a lot of people commenting on PaaS pricing (and specifically Vercel) so FWIW: I was the person who initially set Cara up on Vercel in late 2022, and I'd still choose Vercel again today.
So freaking speechless right now. Seen many @vercel functions stories but first time experiencing such discrepancy vs request logs like, this is cannot be real??
When you have 0 users, worrying about servers and scaling is a huge time sink. I wanted their team to be able to focus on building a product people wanted and acquiring users. It was so effective they were able to focus entirely on scaling their postgres db and keep their site up
@t3dotgg I think the large load drop might line up with Katie's work using denormalized columns, but the parallelization is definitely helping! Good pattern for us to continue to use as well ๐
Hey you.
Yeah, you.
Come here...
Just a reminder that you should never compare your progress to someone else's. You're doing great ๐๐พ...
And, I am very proud of you.
EASY way to speed up your team velocity. On code reviews: if it's close enough, approve it anyway. Then trust they'll make the right decision based on whatever feedback you left.
Save everyone another back n forth.
@Espen_Antonsen Hey Espen - looks like itโs in the queue of things to get done. Mind getting in touch at [email protected] or DMing me your email so I can forward to our support team and they can keep you up to date? Ty!
@michelletandler Hey Michelle - how do you make the leap between wanting trade and wanting capitalism?
I canโt think of any political ideology that is anti-trade.
Bootstrap, Foundation, and MUI did nothing to make me less skeptical about CSS frameworks.
Tailwind is playing a totally different game, and makes it easy to build your own design framework using their utility classes.
Been using it in prod for >1 year and love it!
I was checking out what's coming in iOS 15 the other day, and I noticed this cool new Notification Summary UI
I thought: "Hey, wonder how easy it would be to build this with @tailwindcss?"
I'll show you, step by step, how easy it is!
