@StuartHumphryes Would love to see you work your magic on this photo of my dad taken probably just after WW2. He would have been 100 last year, and this year marks 35 years since he passed away.

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@FightingOnFilm I'd actually audition for that

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@RM_Mili_History Well shot of them, mate.

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

Military folks on X! Friend is clearing her aunts house, and found this. She's wondering if it's perhaps a swagger stick? It's about the length of her forearm from elbow to fingertip...

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@FightingOnFilm @Chats1 Unmissable

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@ProfTonyPollard Best day of o-grade history was watching this. Left a big impression on me.

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@WW2girl1944 My "aunt" Jane was awarded this, so will be interested to read!

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@FightingOnFilm Well done on 5 years!

My question is...when you doing "Anzacs"? 😄

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@1940Andy @PeoplesMosquito Ah yes, the famous Lancanster and Lancarster single-engine fighters....

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@FightingOnFilm Gods and Generals. Love Gettysburg, but this was just turgid.

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

Hey @grok who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@S_M_R_G Swinburn is mentioned in our video looking at the photos taken at the time of the surrender in 1940:

@Taff_Gillingham @BBairnsfather I have something in my garage which was offloaded from an ex-servicemen's club in Scotland when it closed.

It's the war memorial plaques for the town of Wishaw.

I've offered it to the areas archive and museum service twice, with almost no interest from them.

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@qikipedia Duck Amuck is an absolute classic and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. It 100% deserves to be labelled "culturally significant".

[David McNay @davidmcnay]

@PaulSuttonKing Amazing views outside and that's the best postcard they could come up with 😂

The AI voice now being introduced by @ScotRail sounds unnatural and fake. It's also doing real people out of a job. Poor show.

@cocteautriplets Walked the canal yesterday. This wee house has now been demolished and replaced by a much bigger house. Big wooden fence put up too to conceal it from passers by.
