@mikeclaytongolf@MikeStachura Drive 350. 50yd chip to a hole on a rock hard ledge& green running at 13. Good & bad shots all get same result. A great spectacle. All 'necessary' to protect scoring now they have run out of yards to extend. Well done USGA & R&A.
@PSUFBLPGAv67e@KylePorterNS The best player in the world, probably ever was doing it yes. With real jeopardy if he missed the sweet spot on that bladed 2 iron, PT 3 wood or Cobra / 975 driver. They all do it now, with minimal jeopardy.
@KylePorterNS They all just think it's ok where it is 'now' . 'Now' never comes as they think there is no real rush to clamp down. Before you know it 30 years and 60 yards off the tee happens and the game is in the shit as bigger & bigger chunks of holes are being covered by the tee shot.
@mikeclaytongolf In 15 years time most of the current tour players, including the main schills like JT will be gone. Why does their opinion & not that of the true greats who to a man support full equipment rollback matter?
@mikeclaytongolf@KVanValkenburg It's all so pathetic. Take 15% off the ball & 100cc off driver heads for everyone and play off the correct tees. Simple.
@NickCatterall@BallsGolf@Sir_NickFaldo Those 2 balls played & felt so differently you'd have to be hitting
Them with a spade wearing oven gloves not to be able to tell the difference between them.
@mikeclaytongolf@JohnnyTheScot Whereas now they think balance is retained by allowing the ball to go 350 and then having greens at 14 and flags in areas they can't get near to from 20 yards. Balance should be retained across all the skill sets via a proper rollback of both ball & driver head. Fuck Titleist.
@mcginleygolf Firm & fast is great, but where player s spend 72 holes with fiddly wedges they can't get close to flags even with great shots as the greens are baked and pins are on a shelf isn't a great watch either. A balanced test between player, equipment and course has been lost.
@CaddieNetwork The PGA tours & the PGA of America can do what they like. There is nothing stopping them from playing with whatever equipment or rules they want to. It will only make it more obvious that the other 3 majors are the genuine class acts. Something JT knows little about.
@mikeclaytongolf@RamsayGolf Who are all these people who are so excited by a 340 yard drive anyway? Stood on the tee a 340 yard or 290 yard drive are basically indistinguishable. On TV you have to be told how far it went. If you left golf due to a rollback you are a moron who won't be missed anyway.
