Speaking as someone who has had their phone stolen, I think putting more police on the streets might be a more useful response than blaming the tech companies.
Too many people are falling victim to phone theft. We must do more to protect victims and tackle the organised criminal gangs driving this crime.
The Met is tackling phone theft thanks to record City Hall funding, but we need tech companies to do more.
