We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.
This story of the potentially irreversible destruction of a crown-jewel national park is rapidly unfolding with absolutely zero national media attention. Journalists — we need you. Where are you?
I’ve seen people claim that we don’t need more housing due to high vacancy rates. I don’t think that’s true but it’s still frustrating to see vacant units. One potential solution is a kind of vacancy tax that can actually be implemented incredibly easily here in Utah! Here’s how:
Very excited for fair maps in Utah, very much not excited for the firestorm this decision is going to unleash. I appreciate Judge Gibson for doing the right thing and honestly following the Utah Constitution and Prop 4
BREAKING: 3rd District Judge Dianna Gibson has ruled in the Utah redistricting case.
She has BLOCKED Map C, SB1011 and picked plaintiff's Map 1 #utpol#utleg
@bikelakecity@NateForUtah Yeah these are the areas (in red) referenced in that document. There are also over 600 entitled units on the site of the 49th Street Galleria which the MVX line will go right next to and work on the Murray Central Station Area Plan is ongoing for adoption next year
@bikelakecity@NateForUtah@MurrayCityUT The only station area plan that Murray City has currently adopted is Murray North. Murray Central has not been approved by the City Council, WFRC, or the UTA Board of Trustees
I need to make this as clear as possible because I cannot live with myself if I don't do everything in my power to stop what is happening. This is truly a non-partisan issue and I am begging you if you are in Utah to contact your state legislators to demand they back off.
I wholeheartedly endorse Ben Peck for Chair of the Utah Democratic Party. It’s time for something different, and Ben’s winning record shows he’s the right person to make a real difference.
I don’t mean this in some political sense or any actual connection to the election. This isn’t important. Stupid of me to even bring up. But can we still hang out with Tim Walz? Like can he come over and give neighborly advice & play Jet Set Radio? He has thoughts on HDMI cables
Why are some of the most ideologically-driven Republicans from outside of SLCo working so hard to add another vote to their supermajority? We need balance, not more cover to pass unpopular policies behind closed doors.
“Moderate” Mike Bird hanging out with some of the far right MAGA Republican legislator candidates this year huh? We have R’s here(Lisonbee, Peck) who after school shootings want to let 18yos open carry and craft bathroom bans

#BREAKING: The Utah Supreme Court has voided Amendment D because of its failure to publish as required. It will not be voted on this November.
This also impacts A because lawyers today agreed that if the publication issue was upheld, it would make that lawsuit moot. @KSL5TV
The Utah Education Association urges all Utahns to vote AGAINST Amendment A, which is another power grab by state politicians.
Amendment A would take funding from public schools to funnel to unaccountable, private religious school vouchers and politician pet projects.
BREAKING: Judge declares Amendment D VOID.
This means ballots will be printed as certified (with the question), but the amendment won't count #utpol#utleg@BBforUT
We can expect an appeal from state officials
Mike’s only other tweet is praising Trevor Lee for loosening firearm restrictions. I encourage everyone in House District 35 to vote for Rosalba Dominguez. https://t.co/pMS0RdiS5b
Stop and thinks about this. This a dream being realized. It took us years, we knew defeat, we knew wins, but the Utah Democratic Party has changed as much as Utah Republicans have. We’re stronger and more energized and we see possibilities.
Change takes time but it adds up
