@Attila_628 @BethMooreLPM@JoshBuice The sons of thunder were probably deathly serious when they wanted to call down fire too…I wonder which one we should choose as “God’s way”
@kingskworld
Gunna miss the show this Saturday 😭
While attending a funeral in another state I got COVID. First show I’ll miss since y’all started touring. Looking forward to the album drop tho!!!
@ostrachan 2/2 it’s amazing to me when the self-proclaimed theological purists and watchdogs, like yourself, snipe at others when you’ve denied basic Christianity (ESS/EFS/ERAS)…it’s beyond stupid. It’s asinine.
@ostrachan This is so stupid.
You’re whole livelihood is based on the fruit and heritage that Nicea produced. It absolutely is the bare minimum of orthodoxy. To pair it with some subpar statement (I’ll randomly choose) like the Danvers is childish. 1/2
@TomBuck The church doesn’t need “trauma surgeons…”
We need BIBLICAL doctors.
Scripture is sufficient. It’s also very clear that God is the Great Physician, so even a BIBLICAL doctor is only needed if you don’t have enough faith when you pray.
@joshlove45 All these people are out here on twitter trying to say that female preaching, Beth Moore, CRT, Wokeness, etc. are the real threat to the church.
Do we understand who allowed abuse? “Godly” men preaching patriarchy. Thankful for those accused of being woke who spoke the truth.
@ConansFather @drantbradley This is the public perception based upon the individuals you mentioned acting en masse. It’s not disingenuous because all one has to do is open a google search to verify the information.
1/ Got thoughts on pirates? Like petty drama and/or care about abuse in the nation’s 2nd-largest Christian denom?
GOOD NEWS: I have an absurdly long and meticulously sourced #thread for you thats crucial to understanding that historic report on Southern Baptist abuse
@ChristoFerAll@larsdorland Wait. Ch.11 isn’t about hierarchy. Kephale cannot mean head as in authority or else Paul is making an ontological claim about Jesus’ eternal submission to the Father (ESS) which has been patently disproved. Source is the better meaning based upon the whole chapter. Further…
@ChristoFerAll@RevKimWChafee@larsdorland These explanations make MORE sense of the passage than saying Paul is creating a forever command for all churches…for which Eph 5 and Col 3 are not related. This is the same hermeneutic used to better understand 1 Tim and Titus. 1 Peter is interesting b/c Peter designates that…
@ChristoFerAll@larsdorland Paul doesn’t appeal to any law in ch. 11. He appeals to nature then speaks about man and woman being interconnected because one comes from the other. Again, which law states that women must be silent? Wouldn’t Hulda be in direct violation of that law explicating to the priest?
@ChristoFerAll@larsdorland In 1 Cor. 11:5 Paul says, “when a woman prays or prophesies,” and then in 1 Cor. 14:34-38 he says women should be quiet as the law says. 1. Paul is contradicting himself 2. Which law says this? 3. Which gift are women not allowed to exercise?
