It’s important to use the word cult.
Then you can see the so called “Prophetic History” is really the cult history according to the cult leader.

Only when you call it a cult can you admit being a cult member (or cult leader).

Only when you admit being a cult leader can you identify the ways you contributed to the cult - a system of profound undue influence and control - and own your part in such.

IHOP-KC is a pseudo-Christian cult built and operated on the voluntary labor of uneducated teens and young adults.

Mike & Diane Bickle, Tracey Bickle, Misty Edwards, Clay Edwards, Stuart Greaves, Dave & Tracy Sliker, Nate & Sada Rodgers, Isaac Bennett, Dana & Matt Candler, Lenny LaGuadia, Alisha Powell etc.
are cult leaders.

My opinions:

The “Prophetic History” should be viewed as un-Christian fictions assembled to create and reinforce the cult, until proven otherwise.

All former IHOP-KC Executive Leaders, worship leaders and ministry leaders should be viewed as cult leaders (and to view themselves as such) until proven otherwise.

All former staff and students should view themselves as former cult acolytes, members, or contributors in need of therapy, deprogramming, and recovery.

This was not a church and not a ministry.
It was a cult with a record label and school.

A man that eventually became a groomsmen at my wedding was living off of just black olives for a month at a time because it was all he could get from manna4u the ihop food pantry. I bought him a rice cooker and a 50lb bag of rice for Christmas and had to teach him how to cook eggs. I witnessed the poverty and systemic abuse first hand but bought into the “Jesus is worthy of this suffering” that was constantly spoken to us, and as a young adult didn’t comprehend there was an option that we could serve Jesus in a worthy way and not be taken advantage of to line the coffers of men who claimed to hear from God. As an adult and a religious leader I think it’s imperative we have these conversations and shine light on the darkness that was the abuse at IHOPKC. All of it, not just the sexual.

ZERO TRANSPARENCY.

Why are leaders resigning?

I have an internal email to staff as well as reports from staff meetings showing the exact problem.

ZERO TRANSPARENCY.

Some would call us too heavy handed.

And frankly I don’t “rejoice” in resignations.

In fact I’ll rejoice in truth.

And there’s very little of that happening.

What’s being covered up?

Why has there not been an agreed upon INDEPENDENT 3rd Party to Investigate #ihopkc and #mikebickle ?

We KNOW that November 9th Stuart told the Carr’s privately that he said IHOPKC was “not ready” for that and he had no intention of allowing that.

Why?

What’s to hide?

If I seem zealous then please don’t misunderstand me— I am actually focused.

And my eye is on the target.

What is that Target?

Not “shutting down prayer”

It’s actually opening up the books and unraveling a system and structure that has harbored MANY MANY stories of abuse and allowed them to go without a voice.

@bozlawpa has stated clearly that the reason his client (s) won’t go to Lathrop is because in his 30+ years of doing this work he sees Lathrop as NOT independent.

Sliker and Stuart and many others can step down quietly while still allowing the injustice to remain.

So say what you will of this but it’s evil.

And I’m not just zealous.
But we are focused.

If we are misunderstood today but the truth comes out tomorrow then that’s fine.

But if we don’t speak up today then they’ll just play the “step down” game in hopes to “re organize” in the future and continue this sick game.
