@LukeofAstora @grimrukh Oh snap! I've no idea why, but those attuned spells didn't show on my installation. I assumed they weren't included in the demo. Now I'm curious how they were implemented & affected difficulty.
@LukeofAstora @grimrukh I played all of the starting classes in 1.1, and one of them starts with an implement and high int but no attuned spells, and I found no attune-able spells. What do you mean by "have magic"?
@grimrukh That's kind of the ongoing theme here. Unlike most mods for any game(including every Souls mod I've played), where obvious jank is the thread that binds the experience together, Nightfall as an experience shows the quality of a retail FROM product in nearly every visible aspect.
@grimrukh I'm also extremely pleased with the visual design and modeling of every equipment item - that also rivals FROM's retail work IMO, if not exceeds much of it. The sound mastering/recording quality on the NPC voice acting was a bit under FROM-quality, but very close.
@grimrukh ...and I died several times (esp. to Frozen Saint) when that heal-button-input disappeared into the void after a dodge. I ended up spamming the heal button aggressively whenever I intended to heal, because lacking a buffer made the input window unpredictable for meπ
@grimrukh to a similar degree as Elden Ring's guard-counter and jump-attack did for me. I would make one strong recommendation: implement input buffering for the Umbral Effigy item use. I'm used to being able to buffer an estus heal by pressing X during a dodge animation...(cont)
@Vintrenza@grimrukh@Sandasty It'll be interesting to see what impact stronger armor will have on playstyles in the full release! If there will be any? Or maybe weak armor will be all there is, as it was in this demo, so players must rely on other defensive options throughout a playthrough.
@Vintrenza@grimrukh@Sandasty Looks like 1 defense point in Nightfall is similar to the same in vanilla. I took about 2.3 sections of damage from an attack with no armor, and about 3 sections of damage from the same attack with full starter armor, which contributed 6 of 60 total defense.
@AskPlayStation I received an email about 2SV this morning while I was asleep. I was able to change my password, however, it tells me 2SV is active and I need an Authenticator code or a Backup code to log in. Since I did not activate 2SV I don't have those. Please help!
@enpublishingrpg Oh I see! So I can just plug in an existing patron from 5e for now. Thanks. Can't wait to find out what the Diabolist is about (I have a Tiefling character who I imagine developing some characteristic fiend powers)
