@TechConnectify The on-the-ground story with heat pumps is so different from what you read online. Local hvac people basically tried to talk me out of getting one. The efficient ones are also very expensive, so it’s hard to believe im going to save any money since natural gas is ~free.

@MattBruenig Growing up we owned a WW2 era tractor that originally ran on kerosene. Gasoline was needed for the war effort, so tractors used a small amount to start the engine, then used kerosene as the main fuel.
