@visitCOTALAND Will COTALAND have trees? From what I've seen of COTA, most of it is a desolate and ugly concrete wasteland and isn't a comfortable place to be, especially in the summer. It needs a ton more trees to make it an attractive and comfortable place to be.
@happygeek Regarding your "Most Sophisticated Gmail Attacks Ever" article, it failed to mention the thing everyone should do to be safe from phishing attacks... Use a password manager! Anyone using a password manager will never risk entering their login info on a fake website.
@hutchins There are just a handful of things that Android can do that iOS can't but this is one of the bigger ones. It was one of the reasons I switched a few years ago. It is nice to just have a phone that can also act as a Wi-Fi router anytime you need it.
@hutchins Listening to the Must Haves podcast from August. A note about the travel router, Android phones can share one wifi connection because Android can re-share its wifi when you turn on the hotspot function. But iOS can't (its hotspot can only share mobile data).
@313ronnieb @BlockFiZac @AnonymousFaith_ My understanding is they were holding their assets in cash until they converted it to crypto in February to return it to us in crypto. So $45k was what they actually paid for the crypto they're returning. I do think it's misleading to call it a possible 100% recovery.
@CostSegZac Can you comment on the reasons why BlockFi sold all its crypto at the start of the bankruptcy process? Most of the other platforms didn't do that, and of course in hindsight that was a terrible mistake since it ended up being the low point of the market.
@BobMcElrath@johnnyutah@BlockFiZac It was sold at a lower price than what it is now. No one gets to pocket the difference, unfortunately. We all wish they hadn't sold, but when the market was collapsing, they thought that was a necessary step at that time. Definitely sucks tho.
@jrpro62 Regarding your Time "401(k) Contribution Limits for 2023" article, "the $66,000 ($73,500) limit would apply to total contributions made to all 401(k), 403(b), and most 457 plans this year" is incorrect. Doesn't apply to multiple 401k accounts, does apply if 403b.
@ZoForAustin Are you sure you want to attend a HPNA meeting? You won the election in part because most of us in Austin oppose the agendas of the NIMBY neighborhood groups. Attending just contributes to the perception that these neighborhood groups represent Austin.
@CapMetroATX Why dont CapMetro buses use NFC tickets so you just have to hold your phone near the device for a second as you board. It works that way in Portland and it's so much better! You don't even have to open the bus app! The qr scanner thing is extremely slow and a pain.
@SadakoRising NFTs no longer harm the environment. Ethereum was the only energy hogging nft blockchain, and they switched to a low energy use system this week. Google it.

@hostiledesign I wish our city would do that. Allowing people to panhandle in unsafe places is not doing anything good for anyone. Allowing more panhandling isn't helping anyone.
@BigIssue@hostiledesign Changing these so homeless people can sleep in these places isn't a solution for anything. That isn't a way to make the world a better place. Uncomfortable benches aren't the problem.
