Artist Rachel Mica Weiss installed six sculptural components for the new art piece titled Infinite Arches at MAPS 3 Senior Health & Wellness Center on S Western. Composed of hundreds of individually measured strands of polyester rope, this piece hovers above the gymnasium.

The lower portion of Scissortail Park opens this weekend with a three-day celebration of the park’s completion. The lower park provides more than 30 acres for residents and visitors to explore and connects to the north end of the park via the Skydance Bridge.
The lower section of @ScissortailPark has set a grand opening on September 23rd.
The wide promenade will lead pedestrians from downtown all the way to the Oklahoma River and its extensive trail network.
Will also include sports courts, pavilions and concessions.

The wait is over. After more than a decade of planning and a year of COVID-19 safety concerns, residents can tour Oklahoma City’s new $288 million, 500,000 square foot convention center that was built debt-free as a part of the City’s celebrated MAPS 3 program.
The greatest temptation facing an elected official is the temptation to tell people what they want to hear.
