Casper CTO on Kraken, EVM and banks
Michael Steuer (@mssteuer) covers the $CSPR Kraken listing, recent buildathon, AstralBeam and the T-REX network.
He answers chat questions on burns, supply caps and value capture, then lays out EVM on mainnet in Q4 & more.
Dear CT,
I have a sincere question to all you quants, chart analyzers, TA/PA folks and general crypto market experts. I decidedly am not one of any of these categories. I'm a technologist/product guy/builder/operator. I do not proclaim to understand what drives valuations and price action in what to me seems to be a highly irrational marketplace. So I'm looking at you, among others: @Kevin_Cage_, @CryptoCharged, @NCashOfficial, @CryptoHeroesDE - help me out here:
Much focus appears to be placed on "onchain revenue" of Layer 1 blockchains, as a metric to derive blockchains' valuation from. "Onchain revenue" defined as the sum of transaction fees collected over a period of time. On the surface, this makes some sense to me, as it is probably the best proxy for basic supply/demand economics. Consequently, dashboards like @chainspect_app present is as the primary metric for "Blockchain Financials", like here: https://t.co/8zTgc9vwcD
So this is where things get very interesting, and totally puzzling to me. casper-network:native is not currently tracked by Chainspect, however if it were, it would be the 19th highest revenue generating Layer 1 blockchain on the list, just above $SEI, $XTZ, $DOT, sui:native and just below $ALGO. Now as you well know, casper-network:native's FDV is significantly lower than that of all of these peers, even though Casper's onchain revenue is higher. In fact, SUI, with just $22 in daily revenue, is valued at over $11B, while DOT, with $26 in revenue, is valued $2.6B.
Now to an outside economist, valuing a project/company that does $22/day ($8K per year) at $11B is obviously the definition of an irrational market. So while many may focus on this "onchain revenue" metric, it appears "the market" does not, at least not rationally or uniformly?
Take Casper as an example - as a protocol/technology it's objectively superior to most on this list, and it's leading the charge in two of the most consequential technological shifts this decade: tokenization and agentic commerce. So those are additional objective metrics that do not appear to drive valuations in the market (are all the projects on this list even still actively maintained?).
So that leaves what? Hype? Manipulation? FOMO? Paid influencers? Crypto bro culture? Is that what our industry comes down to? Or is there a more fundamental approach hiding beneath it all?
In addition to learning from some of your expertise, I'm hoping to engage in an objective, dare I say even scientific discussion with those of you who have insights to share. Not looking to bash any projects/people/parties. If that's what you're looking for, please go elsewhere.
Thank you
Autumn reminds us: the biggest trees have the deepest roots.
Hedera's roots run just as deep, growing season after season, further into the fabric of the digital economy.
Bottoms aren’t filled with positive headline narratives.
War. Saylor selling. Treasury CEOs stepping down and some closing their doors. Liquidations. Fear mongering. Crowds corralled around lower targets all in agreement.
There is a lesson there. Because it happens every time.
This AI can approve a loan. But a Casper contract decides whether the money actually moves.
Sometimes it says no, even when the AI said yes.
This is what Casper is built for. Agents that can act freely, inside limits they have no power to change.
Faktura is a finalists in the Casper Agentic Buildathon.
What it is
A supplier ships the goods, the customer pays in 30 days, and the supplier needs the cash now.
Faktura advances the money against that invoice from a shared liquidity pool, in CSPR.
How it works
1. A supplier submits an unpaid invoice.
2. The AI underwrites it. Risk score, price, rationale and red flags, hash-anchored into a memo.
3. The contract checks it against policy. Risk ceiling, discount band, concentration caps.
4. Clear both gates and the pool advances the money.
5. The invoice later settles for a yield, or defaults and lenders absorb the loss.
The part worth watching
An invoice the AI has already approved can still be rejected at the second gate if it breaches the concentration cap.
It reverts with a real error, User error: 15. The site links straight to that failed transaction on https://t.co/zU3OsE0h9R, with a button to reproduce it live.
Their framing: AI proposes, contract disposes.
Why it stands out
An agent that can be overruled, on a chain where the overrule is permanent and public.
Last week I had the opportunity to speak with @SarsonFunds's network of 3500+ US family offices about Casper/$CSPR. Topics included US market entry, regulated RWA and of course agentic commerce.
We'll be sharing more clips of the fireside chat in the days & weeks to come.

In case you missed it on LinkedIn.
Honestly, Im sure this is for the better.
If you don't understand the direction the vision and what's needed -- please move aside.
@Casper_Network will be one of the networks powering the cross-chain movement of tokenized assets once T-REX comes online later this year. Just APEX alone, has committed to bringing an initial $100B of assets on chain.
Bridges have cost crypto billions in hacks. $HBAR might be quietly solving that problem, and almost nobody is connecting it to demand. 👀
Here's the breakthrough.
CLPR, Hedera's Cross-Ledger Protocol, moves assets and data between blockchains without bridges at all.
Instead of pooled liquidity and risky intermediaries, it uses cryptographic state proofs and threshold signatures.
Direct. Secure. No middlemen.
It was first built to connect private HashSphere enterprise networks to the public Hedera mainnet, with room to expand to chains like Ethereum.
Now follow the demand logic.
Every CLPR interaction touching Hedera, asset transfers, proof verification, routing, settlement, creates a Hedera transaction.
And every single Hedera transaction is paid in HBAR.
So the math is simple.
More chains connecting through CLPR means more activity on Hedera, which means more HBAR consumed to power it.
My take? This is the kind of catalyst that builds demand through real economic usage, not hype.
Unlock trapped liquidity, remove bridge risk, and route it all through HBAR.
That's a foundation worth holding for.

🇦🇺 NAB. Westpac. AustralianSuper. Reserve Bank of Australia. All just ran live operations on Hedera with real central bank money.
I sat down with Rob Allen, the man who spent 5 years making Project Acacia happen.
Here's what you need to know:
• Hedera: only network with both public mainnet and private HashSphere
• Imperium Markets started on R3 Corda. Switched to Hedera. The only regulated firm in Australia.
• DvP atomic settlement of term deposits, NCDs, and annuities
• $24B annual opportunity in Australia. Currently capturing $1B.
• Full production-grade tokenization now deployable in weeks via Assetto

For the past couple of weeks I've presented the idea of of what we're seeing in the market today.
Here's an excerpt from my May 22nd video. We essentially are looking to see if BTC can find its footing in the 64-67k area for a few days to signal there is a strong support here.
🎉 Casper turns 5 today 🎉

The real magic of Hedera isn’t just the technology. It’s the values behind it. Speed, security, fairness & sustainability. These principles don’t just guide the network, they shape the entire community building on it.
At HederaCon 2025, @leemonbaird shared what that “magic” really means in practice.

After a day of meetings in the epicenter of (centralized) delegated representative governance, it feels particularly fitting to participate in decentralized delegated governance on behalf of the Casper stakeholders who’ve entrusted me with their vote, and who made their unanimous preference abundantly clear to me.
