@IsraelWhites HW is the only manager to win promotion to the top flight with three clubs in his first full season in charge. He achieved that at Notts Co and Sheff Weds before joining Leeds. Just proves how he assessed a club, got the team fit and organised and players committed. Top man, too.

David was born in 1926 in Bistra Maramures Sighet, Romania, the middle child of seven. In 1944, on the last day of Passover, he and his family were forced into the ghetto, where they remained for three weeks before being deported to Auschwitz.
