So pleased to see ‘Listening Moon’, my poem about @jodrellbank, feature in @Gutter_Magazine 25 and in such auspicious company - Linen from @colinjherd …wee Gutter poem No.3… as exciting as opening a gate-fold album!
We @ScottishPEN are also deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and colleague, Leela Soma.
Today, we remember her friendship, kindness and contribution to Scotland's literary world, not least the foundation of the @KavyaPrize – our thoughts go out to her family and friends.
@louisewelsh00@zoestrachan Happy Christmas to you both and sorry for disappearing off into the crowd at the ceremony on the 9th! Must have been like trying to herd cats!
I want to take this opportunity to thank the amazing @jlwpoetry, for her help in the time leading up to and during my own @UofGWriting adventure, helping to prepare me to have a voice, a view and a vision. I would recommend JL’s writing support to anyone, everyone!
So this happened.
Led by a mace stretching back centuries, we walked into the future. Glasgow writers @UofGWriting are leaders in our field — one fertile enough to grow all our dreams. Thanks to @cjpearce for such an incredibly inspiring speech today.

This lovely thing arrived from the other side of the world on my birthday no less, and it’s such good counsel. I hope I inhabit my country, it’s landscape, when I write about it. Thank you @valmcdermid and @CissOtago!
If u want to purchase @valmcdermid’s short account of Scottish crime fiction, ‘I Now Describe My Country As If to Strangers’ (the 1st in a series of 10 @CissOtago pamphlets) for the very reasonable sum of $25 (incl p&p), you can do so via this order form… https://t.co/InLzcTQIxe
