On February 17, 1600, the Italian philosopher and important thinker Giordano Bruno was condemned by the Inquisition to be burned for his views and beliefs.

#GiordanoBruno's cosmological vision anticipates the modern conception of the universe. His ethical ideas remind of modern humanism, and his ideal of philosophical tolerance influenced liberal thinkers.
Bruno was burned alive by the Roman Church, on the 17 Feb 1600, at 6am.
