@1RoomSleep1Nite Suffering an unknown virus in Thailand this captures the helplessness of the situation with anguish, anger, resilience & life-sustaining humour. He insightfully reflects on his own learning & his time in a NY hospital being diagnosed & treated. A tour de force!!
@poloccricket So shocked by this, for so much of my childhood in the sixties I spent long summer’s days at beautiful Shawholm. A real haven in the city. Difficult to comprehend that it will be dissolved and no longer be. Such a great club now with a wide ethnic community, really sad!
@ScotHumanRights@KavitaRChetty Good luck to @KavitaRChetty - her work with others on Care About Rights was amazing making it still the best human rights resource for the care sector.
We need a clear nationally recognised pathway for people to work in the social care sector, in the a same way for nurses, midwives and the police etc. #OpenSpace22#HearMyVoice#CareAboutCare

‘We cannot, must not, allow a creeping clinicalisation or medicalisation of #socialcare to go unchallenged’ - typically incisive and passionate from @DrDMacaskill
The critique of a few in some business and political quarters around the need for continued precautionary use of #masks is disrespectful of those working in #health and #care and those especially at risk of high transmission in particular the #old. A shortsighted lack of priority
If establishing National Care Service doesn't involve dismantling of competitive tendering it will be unable to deliver collaborative human rights based approach that is required. As @AnnieCCPS has constantly reminded us and as Independent Review of Adult Social Care emphasised.
@AThomsonSociety@cecilia_stamp Curiously, in the drawing next to where Gavin lived at no. 1 Moray Place on the corner, I lived at no. 2 for 20 years, also shown. Fond memories of here and of Gavin & the family growing up ....
