Following a very difficult meeting with my accountant, I just found out how much it is going to cost me in terms of an "exit tax" to leave Quebec and Canada. No human being in a free society should have their hard-earned money stolen in this manner. I'm genuinely numb. I'm speechless.

Pay attention to the pattern here.
For years, the same political side that now claims to be horrified by government pressure on media companies was perfectly comfortable with it. They defended it, excused it, and even celebrated it when Biden officials were leaning on platforms to suppress stories, throttle content, and bury information they didn’t like.
The Hunter Biden laptop, vaccine-related posts, satire ... none of it triggered widespread outrage about “jawboning” or censorship-by-proxy at the time.
Then the exact same tactic gets used against Jimmy Kimmel after his comments following Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Suddenly, the pattern breaks. What was once framed as necessary pushback against “misinformation” is now treated as an unacceptable attack on free speech. The same people who stayed quiet while the pressure was applied in one direction are now demanding legislation to stop it when it moves in another.
Why does government pressure on media companies only become a constitutional crisis when it affects one of their own? Why was the FBI warning platforms before the 2020 election not treated with the same urgency as a public suggestion from an FCC chair? And why has it taken this specific incident for a bill like the JAWBONE Act ... introduced by Ted Cruz and Ron Wyden ... to gain real bipartisan traction?
This isn’t random. It’s a consistent pattern: principles around speech and government power tend to activate the moment the consequences stop being hypothetical and start touching the right people. Everything before that gets rationalized. Everything after gets called authoritarian.
The JAWBONE Act didn’t appear out of nowhere. It appeared the second the pattern became impossible to ignore for one particular side.
That’s worth noticing.

Beauty isn't a luxury. It's civilization's foundation.
@DelphineChui argues that when a society stops building beautiful things, it starts forgetting what it's trying to preserve.
MAHA Makeover: Mars, the maker of the iconic M&M's candies, will debut a new version in August that marks a milestone in the brand’s 85-year history: M&M’s made entirely without harmful synthetic petroleum-based dyes, replaced instead with natural alternatives sourced from plants, algae, roots, and spirulina, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The initial dye-free bags, launching exclusively on Amazon, will be missing two classic colors—brown and blue—as naturally replicating those shades has proven challenging and costly, though Mars aims to expand to the full six-color range by 2028.
The Renewed Hope Act is officially signed into law.
We’re going from 7 victim identification specialists to 200. That’s thousands of boys and girls who now have a real shot at being identified and rescued. So grateful for everyone in Congress who pushed this through.
But here’s the hard truth: the ICSE database has grown from 57,000 unidentified victims to 89,000 in just two years — even after 20,000 kids were rescued. We’re still losing ground faster than we’re gaining it.
This fight is far from over.
🚨 BREAKING: Polk County Florida Sheriff Grady Judd goes BERSERK on Chicago PD for abandoning federal agents after a terror attack this weekend. 🔥
"Let me say this, for other law enforcement leaders across this state and nation: you need to be standing UP saying the SAME EXACT THING that I am. Because when you have a breakdown of the rule of law, when you allow anarchist criminals to take over the streets and attack law enforcement officers and then not send them help? That's a slippery slope, a REAL slippery slope."
"Let me give you the antithesis of this. We had a single man resist ICE agents and get away from them in our community. We sent a helicopter, a drone, canine, and 50 law enforcement officers to surround an area and we found that guy who violently resisted ICE and we locked him up in jail where he should have been."
"I have NEVER heard of one law enforcement agency not helping another when they call for help until this weekend, when a chief of patrol for the Chicago Police Department instructed the police officers not to run in and help their colleagues who were calling for help, who were under attack by a bunch of people clearly violating the law!"
"If you allow anarchists and criminals to run wild in your community, people will die. People will be shot."
I’m sick to my freaking stomach reading Tulsi Gabbard’s declassified bombshells. They laid out the entire treasonous plot: weaponizing the Zelensky phone call to impeach Trump, with Rudy Giuliani squarely in their crosshairs next.
This wasn’t politics—it was a straight-up coup by corrupt deep state actors to overthrow the will of the American people.
These people belong in prison for this shit. Deeply disturbing and downright terrifying.
BREAKING: @jsolomonReports to temporarily step aside in role as editor-in-chief to assist the government in identifying classified or withheld documents concerning weaponization and election integrity. @AmandaHead
What she said!!
And if your employer is a public entity, hit us up @CivilRights because we will not tolerate local and state governments violating the law!
Make it make sense.
The left considers you a “dreamer” if you’re here illegally, but if you’re a poor kid from Kentucky—or anywhere else—trying to make it in America, you mean nothing to them.
Their entire playbook is insulting, and they treat Americans like garbage.
It’s time to put our people first and deport every last illegal alien.
"Democratic political leaders throw-around phrases like “accountability,” “right-sizing” for cybers and charters, and “income caps” for tuition-assistance scholarships, hiding their true goal: killing school choice." @PhilaFreedomGuy

Jesus taught us to care for the least among us. Few are more vulnerable than children trapped in exploitation and trafficking.
This is not just an international crisis, it is a domestic one.
Predators are targeting vulnerable young people in our own communities and increasingly through online platforms. The threat is real, and the consequences are devastating.
We must continue supporting law enforcement, prevention programs, survivor care, and the resources needed to bring predators to justice.
