These three claims about writing for the Web are dangerous, or borderline useless.

I found them all in the top 10 “guides” on Google.

And “guides” is a big word, as you’ll see in the last example…

@Pekka_net @jonahlangenbeck @KatieKeithBarn2 @Barn2Plugins Now instead of having a plausible case in the eyes of the public, it's now riddled with contradicting statements, conflict of interest, and leaves a horrible taste.

It's a vile tactic if you ask me, and the leaks just keep confirming it.

If the idea was that stirring up literally ANY controversy will help the case... well, I'm pretty sure it hasn't, and it won't.

Not unlike Matt's case with Thesis. 🙃 Not the first time he's taking the moral high ground in what is a purely self-interest case.

@jonahlangenbeck @Pekka_net @KatieKeithBarn2 @Barn2Plugins That's only "two of many", to cite Matt's reasoning in one of the first posts blasting WPE. If that's not unhinged, I don't know what one has to do to be unhinged in your eyes.

Everything up until his tl;dr post "it's about money (trademark)" is unhinged. So 99% of it.

@jonahlangenbeck @Pekka_net @KatieKeithBarn2 @Barn2Plugins Have you read the WPE C&D thoroughly and seen how Matt acts, and still thing it's not unhinged? If that's the case then we just have to agree to disagree.

It quickly went from "WPE bad, no revision, no contributions" to "give me money" and an immediate campaign from his hosting.

@oozn @photomatt @wpengine I found the revisions comment ridiculous because it sounded like the most petty and meaningless example to use, before citing it's "one of many"... but the more I learn about this, the worse it gets. Shambles.

Dropbox doesn't measure content with "money" metrics*.

@WislaKrakowSA Pewnie nie wiecie, ale hashtagi tą gównianą czcionką są traktowane osobno i jak by ktoś normalnie tego szukał to nie znajdzie. A najlepiej pogadajcie z kimś z BF i dajcie sobie spokój z tymi czcionkami... Normalny tekst naprawdę działa wystarczająco dobrze.
