@deafdragongirl Completely agree. Some situations may require more access options than just interpreters. Sometimes I choose captioning and interpreters, others may feel more comfortable with a pick n mix set depending on the situation & what is available. :) Shouldn’t be seen as ‘luxury’.
@JeminaNapier I have not read the podcast so I may be wide off the mark 🫣The fundamental difference between ‘bad English’ & ‘bad BSL’ is the fact that BSL is not taught formally in the same way as English so not aware of bad BSL/ majority of BSL teachers not trained opposed to Eng teachers?

Why do people think it's ok to pre decide what a child is capable of? Why is ok to use Makaton and signalong and limit a child to very limited language?
It is ok to be realistic if that means providing full support and opportunities..it is not ok to limit
