Just a reminder before the Premier's televised announcement that the Alberta gov't chooses to fund our public education system the least. That they choose not to provide the resources for our students. They love to talk about choice, and this is one they should be ashamed about.
“Despite the growing number of students, the Alberta government’s funding for K-12 education remains insufficient, posing a severe threat to the quality of education in our province.”

Ohhhhh boy! Pay attention Albertans, this is yet another step to creating a reason to destroy public education. Have teachers with less credentials and experience, means they can be paid less, and have the same expectations and responsibilities.
Solution: Increase access to key learning supports.
- Hire more support staff.
- Restore Program Unit Funding (PUF) for early learning supports.
- Develop and expand readily available mental health supports for students and families.
