Back in 2014 SB54 changed the way Utah elections would function forever, from representative government to pay-to-win.

Originally, at annual State Republican conventions, delegates, elected by their neighbors on caucus night, would elect who they felt would be the best candidate in each race. Now however, candidates can bypass conventions, buy signatures, and sidestep the grassroots.

At this year’s Utah Republican convention held yesterday, incumbent Blake Moore lost to challenger Karianne Lisonbee by a 28 point margin. Because Karianne won > 60% of the vote she’ll be the parties automatic convention candidate, Blake Moore however, having paid for signatures, will still have primary access despite his unpopularity among the delegates.

If we want more effective and accountable government, we need to Repeal SB54, our Republic depends on it.

Chris Finch said he thinks it's a joke that Rudy Gobert was not even named as a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year this season.

Gobert was asked after the game if that snub gave him more juice in tonight's game.

"No extra juice. I know who I am. Not the first time I get disrespected, probably not the last. I'm gonna keep being myself. If they wanna disrespect greatness, take it for granted, whatever, sooner or later they'll realize the impact."
