The Romans would sacrifice criminals. According to Suetonius, when Tiberius took power he ritually sacrificed prisoners and criminals. None of these were children. Even the propaganda against the Carthaginians by Romans has been debunked.

In European religion, family was more important than the gods. Nobody was sacrificing healthy children or morally upstanding adults.

Also Christians like to conflate European Pagans with Aztecs who were at the Imperial end of their empire when mass sacrifices occurred. When they were Toltecs, they DID NOT practice human sacrifice. This only occurred later in the Aztec era.

Modern Christians pretend that Europeans before Christianity were in the level of Polynesian cannibals.

Pliny the Elder in around 55 BCE made fun of the Roman senate for passing a law banning human sacrifice when the sort of sacrifice the law referred to hadn’t happened in over 500 years. In the time of Plato, human sacrifice in the Greek world was but a very distant memory. Even the ancient pre-Christian Egyptian dynasties talked about the horrors of human sacrifice and how it was an ancient prehistoric thing that they’d eradicated centuries before.

These Christians are grifters. The Christian religion massacred entire populations over slight theological differences, burned women at the stake, and encouraged Europeans to slaughter their own people.

Religious pluralism is what this country was founded on. I’m sorry but both Christianity and Islam are terrible regarding women with Judaism coming in third. At least Judaism acknowledges the Divine Feminine in the form of the Shekinah.
