HOW TO FILL Z83 FORM TO AVOID BEING DISQUALIFIED

Guys, when applying for government posts, complete that Z83 in FULL (don’t miss a spot). Include filling the information on work experience & qualifications, even if your CV is attached. Don't write "CV attached". Write down all the information.

The form clearly indicates that “All sections of this form are compulsory”. Sign or initial where required. If your signature is missing, unfortunately, you're disqualified. Answer each question.

Don’t leave blank spaces. Rather, use "Not Applicable" (N/A) than to leave spaces blank. Use an updated/new Z83, not the old one.

If a driver's license is amongst the requirements, it would NOT be applied if you don’t have it. But if it’s an added advantage, then you CAN apply.

Before submitting, ask someone to thoroughly check for you. Never leave questions like "do you have any pending disciplinary cases" blank. Answer honestly.

Double-check before submitting the document. Certified documents are now valid for 6 months. DPSA has guidelines on how to complete Z83.

JMPD METRO POLICE TRAINING INTAKE PROGRAM

The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) is offering a training program for individuals to become Metropolitan Police Officers.

The intensive training will span 18 months, and successful candidates will be considered for appointment as Metro Police Officers upon completion. During the training, trainees will receive a stipend in accordance with the City's Policy and will be subject to training contracts, Academy rules, and RTMC training policy.

The training will take place at the JMPD Training Academy. Due to the intensive recruitment process, the Metro Police Training is expected to commence on 1 January 2026.

The initial advertisement for this training opportunity has been retracted. The post has been re-advertised in the proper City of Johannesburg online applications format. The JMPD is looking for 500 trainees for this program. These vacancies are specifically targeting youth residing in the City of Johannesburg.

It is crucial to note that JMPD vacancies are not for sale, and anyone who applies will follow the same stringent process of verification.

Requirements for Applicants:

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

* Be a South African citizen.

* Possess a valid Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4).

* Residing within the jurisdiction of the Johannesburg Metropolitan area and providing original proof of residence. Due to the intense requirement and verification process, officers from each region will be assigned to physically verify the applicant's address. Systems like the voter's roll will also be used to verify if you reside in that particular ward.

* Have no criminal conviction or record.

* Be prepared to allow biometric data and other information to be taken for criminal record checks.

* Hold a valid Driver's License (minimum Code B, no Learner's license).

* Be between 18 and 35 years of age.

* Be physically and mentally fit, with a comprehensive Medical Certificate submitted with the application.

* Be able to subject themselves to and successfully complete a pre-training fitness assessment.

* Have no civil judgment(s) relating to fraud and/or corruption against their name.

* Be prepared to undergo vetting processes.

* Be proficient in English.

* Have no objection to carrying a firearm and wearing a uniform.
