This man brutally and repeatedly smashed a Seagull against the wall of the Harbour View Cafe in Truro because it tried to steal some food. He then stuffed the Seagull through the fence onto the road where if floundered with two broken wings.

This was in front of numerous people and children who were hugely upset.

Police have released an image of a man they’re searching for following the incident at a park in Kooyong yesterday

“Bayside Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) are appealing for witnesses following an attempted sexual assault in Kooyong on 14 July.

Investigators have been told the two, a 67-year-old Toorak woman and a 39-year-old Glen Iris woman, were walking along Gardiners Creek with dogs near a reserve off Glenferrie Road around 11.30am.

An unknown male jumped out of a bush and put his arms around one of the women, but she managed to push him away.

He then tried to pull the other woman toward him, and she also managed to push him away.

The victims were walking eight dogs at the time; the dogs then chased the male into a nearby tunnel under the Monash Freeway even managing to tear off a piece of his clothing.

The man is perceived to be of African appearance wearing black tracksuit pants, white socks, slides, black and grey hooded top and was wearing a black face covering.

He was also carrying a large bright blue backpack.

Detectives have released a facial composite of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.”

In Franca, São Paulo (Brazil), the car of an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion caught fire and was completely destroyed.

Everything inside burned, except the pyx (teca) containing the Most Holy Eucharist, the paper with a prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the cloth that wrapped it.

This moving event from July 2018 reminds us of the living faith of the Church: Jesus is truly, really, and substantially present in the Blessed Sacrament (CCC 1374). Throughout history, God has given similar signs, the Eucharist surviving fire, to strengthen our belief in His Real Presence.

The image below shows exactly this: the preserved pyx with the Host, the prayer card, and the cloth amid the ashes. A visible testimony that "the gates of hell shall not prevail" against the Church and the Eucharist.

Western Australia accidentally conducted one of the world's largest real-world vaccine safety experiments.

From April 2020 until March 2022, Western Australian was isolated from the rest of Australia and the world. Its borders were closed, and for almost two years there was virtually no community transmission of COVID-19.

That makes Western Australia's data unique.

Across 2020 and 2021, a population of around 2.7 million people recorded just 1,223 COVID-19 cases. Some of which were classified as ‘historical cases’, and only around 11% were acquired locally. Most cases were linked to international arrivals, known contacts, or existing cases/clusters.

By the end of 2021, almost 4.1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses had been administered in the state.

According to the Western Australian Vaccine Safety Surveillance Annual Report 2021, the reported adverse event rate for all non-COVID vaccines was 11.1 per 100,000 doses.

For COVID-19 vaccines, it was 264.1 per 100,000 doses.

That is a reported adverse event rate per dose approximately 23.8 times higher than for all other vaccines combined.

Those figures deserve attention.

Western Australia's experience was unlike almost anywhere else on Earth.

Millions of vaccine doses administered in a population with very limited exposure to the virus and a material spike in adverse events.

If we are to learn from history, this data deserves our attention.
