@allisonpearson As I said yesterday, this is an utterly patronising suggestion.Emma K is completely wrong. Those she speaks of are not stupid. Whether ID’s should be made necessary is another issue altogether and should be discussed, I agree.
@georgegalloway My children tired of hearing me say as they grew up, “ NEVER do anything just because everyone else is doing it “.We must answer to our own conscience and act accordingly, as you do.
@HackneyAbbott I do think it is incredibly patronising to suggest that there are people in our society INCAPABLE of presenting some kind of ID. Whether the mandatory introduction of this is desirable or not is another issue altogether and needs correct examination.
@willhirsch@DavidLammy oh dear , next to go I imagine will be KINGdom? I await your polite response! Plus I proffer that some of those the quietly spoken D Lammy is concerned about ARE subjects , being from Commonwealth countries in certain cases, which still confer this status. Get googling!
@damian_from@georgegalloway One could see this coming 6 months ago, and now, like the Burghers of Hamlin who smugly thought they had got the better of the Pied Piper, they will have to watch him walk off with everything.
@allisonpearson She better hope for a large turnout as I suspect there are 17.4 million votes that will not go her way? Bespoke democracy, a definition for all occasions .
@georgegalloway@MayorofLondon Though of course I do not wish it, I suspect that if 112 ( check) children of those fowling the seats of the H of C’s had been knifed to death on the streets of London so far this year, they would forget wrangling over Brexit pretty sharpish and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
