Worth watching every minute. @MalloryMcMorrow needs to be a leading spokesperson for the Democratic Party. She makes me proud to be on the big D team. 👏👏
"I know that hate will only win if people like me stand by and let it happen."
Please watch this incredible speech from Michigan State Senator @MalloryMcMorrow, who is not standing by.

Platner is out—good. It should’ve happened sooner.
I want to underscore that Republicans don’t get to take a moral victory lap here. They’re still the party of Trump.
@politicsusa46 Keep speaking out. The devastation can’t be overstated. And if the message needs to be more tailored to a domestic audience, these cuts destroyed many US farms and businesses who relied on the USAID funds and marketplace. Another Trump-Musk disgrace, w Rubio’s acquiescence.
It’s difficult to overestimate the misery, suffering and cruelty caused by the cynical racist action of shuttering USAID.
History will record it as geopolitical socioeconomic cleansing, by a white nationalist regime on a crusade to make poverty and suffering a crime punishable by death.
ImpactCounter, estimates that more than 750,000 people (the majority of whom were children) died within the first year of the evisceration of funding, leading to the disruption of global health and vaccination programs.
The highly respected medical journal The Lancet, projects that the dismantling of USAID could lead in the future, to up to an additional 14 million avoidable deaths by 2030, including approximately 4.5 million children under the age of five.
For context that’s two and a half times the number of Jews murdered by the Nazis between 1940 and 1945. Trump and his religious imposters who quote scripture at every twist and turn, will have presided over a Holocaust of the world’s most vulnerable children.
What about that is pro-life?
I am an enormous admirer of the work Samantha Power has done to use USAID in order to do good in the world.
There is a special place in hell reserved for those in this regime and their ‘final solution’
My thanks to the Harvard Kennedy School for the clip.

NEW >> Trump administration is scuttling 3 big corporate merger cases and refusing to enforce anti trust laws that for nearly a century have protected US consumers from monopolies and price gouging .

@HQNewsNow Hey @HQNewsNow can you please use a photo less photoshopped and a more accurate portrayal of the elderly and unhinged lunatic currently running this country? This nod to his vanity is ridiculous.
Trump is trying to resurrect a rejected century old plan to erect something towering in his own image, a 250 foot arch, right at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery.
He claims Congress authorized it a century ago. That claim falls apart the moment you check the record.
What Congress actually approved in 1925 was a bridge and two 166 foot columns. Not an arch.
The columns were never built. President Hoover scratched them from the plans in 1931 after the Commerce Department warned they could endanger aircraft. That is the “vision” Trump is citing. A design that was rejected almost 95 years ago.
Arlington is sacred ground, and no president should be allowed to wall it off with a monument to himself that Congress never approved.

🇩🇰 PM Frederiksen: We need three things. First, we need an even stronger NATO. Secondly, we need to step up and rearm Europe. And thirdly, we need to help Ukraine even more, put more pressure on Russia, and ensure that only right winner of this war, of course, will be Ukraine.
We've become remarkably desensitized to Trump's rhetoric. Declaring the Iran ceasefire "over," threatening to end all trade with Spain, calling Japan an "Islamic Republic"—a few years ago, each would have been a major story. Now they barely register. Why?
This is code red. Trump is not screwing around. We will lose this country unless we are vigilant with what’s going on in terms of election security.
WAKE UP PEOPLE! Trump is coming after democracy as we know it.
U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, the Republican nominee challenging Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, has hired his third chief of staff in a year after the departures of two predecessors mired in controversy. #gapol

Turmoil, scandal: 2 top Collins aides gone in less than 2 months after:
Campaign resources were used to harass a rape victim
Collins’ office worked to support a Holocaust denier, and updated Hitler admirer Nick Fuentes on its efforts
And Collins is under federal investigation
One side effect of Platner embarrassing the Democrats is that it’s kept the spotlight off of the absolute psychos the GOP continues to nominate. Like this GOP candidate for Governor of CO who keeps bragging about killing a guy.
@krassenstein That’s a very long and shameful list. We should post this every day. And when, god willing, we have a law abiding POTUS, we should erect a monument with these names as a national reminder of the evil to which this Trump administration subjected millions of good and decent people.
.@jamestalarico: What we're requesting is every internal memo, every email, every document, every text message concerning the Hoffman case. And if there's nothing to hide, then the Attorney General should feel comfortable releasing this information.
But I think it's suspicious when we request this information and it's denied. Especially on a case where so many Texans have legitimate concerns, legitimate questions, and it's something that we're seeing nationally. So many people are deeply disturbed by the Epstein case, rightfully so. And then to see it repeated here in Texas in our own backyard. I mean, it should be alarming to all Texans regardless of our political party.
