Teaching Realization: Let’s be open to student feedback and focus on helping them learn than implementing your rules in the classroom. We can improve our teaching and impact student learning.
Exciting to know that our @NSF S-STEM proposal of 1.5M to accelerate #STEM students' bachelor's and master's degrees is funded! Enjoyed contributing to the proposal @ERAU_Daytona and looking forward to the research work: https://t.co/6D1vudos5f
@guzdial Thanks for sharing this. These rejections were disappointing and it seems negative comments from one reviewer has more impact than positive comments of other reviewer. I might be wrong but just my observation.
Check out our today’s workshop hosted by UC Irvine’s Center for Integrative Movement Sciences, sponsored by the NSF Division of Integrative Organismal Systems in case you missed it: https://t.co/yy1ChF6Kv0
@AustinCorgiBart 2 ideas I did with my flipped CS1 classes: 1. Used poll everywhere to quiz students on concepts as well as answer to small coding problems (group/pair work) 2. Gave 2-3 codeworkout problems, collected solutions and compared different student solutions for the same problem.
What differentiates the best from the rest? Below is a list of traits, some of which may be familiar but many of which will never show up on any sort of performance review. Check them out and see what you think. #teaching#greatteachers#education https://t.co/ORyEbdyjuZ
Thinking about deadlines and clients n relating academia to industry - Teachers handle classroom full of clients n face 2/3 deadlines n presentations per week or bit variation of that, also adapt continuously to client’s need!😮 Isn’t it?
