“We’re trying to make Jig the global standard for 3D presentations, the same way people think about PDFs,” - @granleese, Head of Product @JigSpace - MEL18 alumni🧩https://t.co/Ee5K4S0UnY
Climate change is bad for the economy. Climate change is bad for the economy. Climate change is bad for the economy. Climate change is bad for the economy. Climate change is bad for the economy. Climate change is bad for the economy. Climate change is bad for the economy.
Amazing to see Microsoft taking the lead here. Especially love the removal of historical emissions. “While the world will need to reach net zero, those of us who can afford to move faster and go further should do so.”
We have a responsibility to ensure that our actions and the products we build benefit everyone on the planet – and the planet itself. That’s why today we are making new commitments to address climate change. https://t.co/CzpeUpVhzs
Thread: Why the big fires of the past don't make the point that Craig Kelly thinks they do.
Yesterday, Mr Kelly distributed this map from a book I wrote in 2006. I had mapped the 1939 NSW burnt area from witness interviews and old news reports.

This was an extremely good read, not least because large parts of it induced a very weird feeling of seeing what I have observed to be true actually written down and acknowledged in print, which shouldn’t be an odd sensation yet somehow is https://t.co/86dJjfcHAH
I respectfully put it to you @ScottMorrisonMP that this bushfire emergency has put more jobs at risk than a sensible orderly transition to a zero carbon economy. I’m not asking you to shut down our fossil fuel industries tomorrow.
I am asking for a plan.
Streets can generally be divided into 3 categories:
🚲Ones that DARE you to cycle
🚲Ones that ABLE you to cycle
🚲Ones that INVITE you to cycle
Unless cities are striving for the latter, cycling will exclusively remain for the fit and brave.

1/ Time to dispel a few climate furphies.
The first is that no one is doing anything on #ClimateChange.
Here is the % change in emissions (excluding LULUCF) from 2005-17 for all #OECD nations.
Australia is one of only five (in red) that has increased emissions! #auspol
