I will not give in to the lies.
I will not give in to the fear.
I will not normalize insanity.
I will not ignore cruelty.
Thank you for your integrity, @Acosta. I have loved being your @cnn colleague and friend. Good luck with your next chapter.
When Ontario hospitals cancel surgery due to hospital overcrowding - these patients who may have waited a long time for that day - you have to ask what your government did for 7 years and why they should be given 4 more to serve the public.
Ambassador Caroline Kennedy’s statement to the US Senate on RFKJr’s nomination for HHS Secretary
This is a reading of a letter she just sent to Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions
I’m so proud of my courageous mother, who’s lived a life of dignity, integrity and service.
she’s the kindest funnest smartest you’ll ever meet.
Imagine a place where the government spends 2 Billion on a foreign owned spa while ~80000 are homeless and ~25% of their children use food banks.
Welcome to Conservative Ontario!
Say what you will about our outgoing PM, no federal program has impacted my family more directly than the national child care program has/is. Can’t overstate the difference it has made for us with two kids in daycare. And I worry about what it could mean if Poilievre scraps it.
Unemployment rates since Doug Ford took office:
June 2018
📍 Ontario: 5.9%
📍 Quebec: 5.4%
November 2024
📍 Ontario: 7.6% (+1.7%)
📍 Quebec: 5.9% (+0.5%)
The difference? Doug Ford‘s priorities are failing the real people of this province.
We’ve heard loud & clear from Torontonians that they want the Ontario Science Centre to remain in its current location.
The Auditor General’s findings indicate that the Province’s relocation plans will cost MORE than reopening the existing building.

Doug Ford is wasting $2.2 billion of your money to build a private spa nobody wants while destroying the Science Centre that everyone valued. The Minister of Infrastructure should resign and the Ford government needs to be replaced.
@TorontoStar He is also wasting our tax dollars on advertising bull ##@, spas for the rich and highways no one wants. Who benefits his rich friends and no one else!!
Another ER closure in Ontario. While Doug Ford’s Conservatives are focused on Toronto’s bike lanes to distract us, our health care system continues to crumble.
We need to invest in community health care & access to start addressing this crisis. #onpoli

Dear Ontario Premier Doug Ford (@fordnation),
My 10-year-old son was identified with a need last year and had to change public schools.
I now bike him 2.2km to school in the mornings and he bikes home alone.
We use the 8-year-old Bloor Street bike lanes which make the roads safe for him to do this.
With the roads full of Amazon delivery vans, speeding Ubers, massive buses, and whizzing food delivery e-bikes my son was nervous to bike alone.
We got him a rear view mirror and bike lights and practiced together a few times.
He uses the Bloor Street bike lanes which are full of many other kids riding to and from school.
You are now proposing to spend $48M in provincial taxpayer money (1) to overrule the wishes of the City of Toronto (2, 3, 4) to rip out these bike lanes, which you know pose a direct safety threat. (5)
If this happens we’ll need to ask his grandfather to pick him up in his car.
I’ll likely start driving him in the morning more since his grandfather's car can’t fit his bike on the way home.
Instead of what we need and want—*more* bike lanes that are proven to ease congestion, traffic, and pollution (6)—you’re proposing I spend more money, use more gas, spew more fumes, get less exercise, and create more car traffic.
In 2017 you spoke about bike lanes on @TVO and said: "You're nervous when there's no bike lanes. At least I was. We have to make sure there's never a death in the city. One death is way too many when it comes to bicycle riders. I felt so much safer when it's separated." (7)
Please reverse course here.
Keep the bike lanes.
It’s not too late.
Thank you,
Neil Pasricha

So I just lost my shit on radio when panelist said a solution to afford to live in Toronto is to increase to 60 hour work week. I said solution is living wage, affordable housing and Ford not wasting our money on private spas - not for the working poor to work harder FFS #Onpoli
