@lleyton__ I've said it once and I'll say it again, maintainers can't live off github stars and user goodwill. It boils my blood even more when a corporation uses a project and expects free support/consulting.
I tried out Prompt by @hergertme - it is easily the fastest terminal I have used on linux. I’m looking forward to seeing it progress. Check it out: https://t.co/kHP3icEpKd
Never happier to remove a piece of hardware from my home automation. Replaced @myQConnect with something that doesn’t rely on the internet or care how I use the product. I should have done that on the first place.
@home_assistant@arstechnica@myQConnect I broke my rule when I bought the @myQConnect to automate my garage of no cloud services. I wish I stuck to that because it seemed easier than some of the alternatives. I wish I would have gone with the alternative. Replacing the myQ device this weekend and now more ewaste.

@NetworkChuck I have never done one personally but after watching a friend that doesn’t have a technical background go through one, I think it is a good as a refresher for folks that leave the tech industry not someone just starting out in tech.

@thehelpdeskgirl This was 20 years ago but I was making 20 dollars an hour but it was a very specialized help desk role (linux desktop focused) and 20 dollars an hour was very competitive in my local job market. Likely starting salary for that role today is would have been 30 an hour.
@Grady_Booch As much as I think AI is interesting, at its current stage I see it as a calculator not a replacement for real people. What worries me are the companies behind it not understanding how their model came up with the answers it gives or thinking about the ethics.
