It's why we don't see Shift Up actually doing what you said ever since they got the rights.
Elotes' case is entirely different.

We don't know the details of the discussion between the 2 parties but the fact that Elotes Doro themselves are ok with the decision is good enough for me.
IP licensing between businesses is complex and I don't want to get into it.

Have people bothered to verify why they could not reach an agreement for the licensing? Have people bothered to verify why Elotes Doro greatly respected the decision?

IP licensing in this form (B2B) is much more complex. You also need to consider that Elotes Doro themselves respected the decision.

There is no bad blood between them.
Elotes will have to rebrand to formalize.

This is why Shift Up only got involved now instead of years ago. There are complex business reasons why IP can't be licensed.

The Elotes incident is different because it involves business legality.
