THE GREATEST COMMERCIAL OF ALL TIME.
Marshawn: “Just hand [the beer] to me and I'll run it over to him”
Man: “Nah, I'll toss it to him”
Beast Mode: “JUST HAND IT TO ME. No need to throw it. We're so close. I could run it over, it's just right here
The Jurassic Park film really dropped the ball regarding the core problem being raised by the book:
The biggest threat isn't the problem you're focusing on. It's the thing you never considered a possibility in the first place.
In the movie, you find out the dinosaurs are breeding on their own for a single scene and then it never becomes a plot point again. The only raptors they have to deal with are the three that escaped from the paddock when the electricity went out.
In the book, there are supposed to be 8 raptors. The system is designed to throw an alert if there are ever fewer than expected.
Nobody thought to add an alarm or interface for if there were more than expected, and by the time they figure it out there are over three dozen of the damn things running loose.
Think about how this can apply elsewhere. Not just industrial applications, but philosophically, economically, politically, or socially:
What looming catastrophe are you ignoring because you are so focused on its opposite?
What dangers and evils are you allowing to grow unchecked because you never considered them as a possibility?
Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸

Forever in our hearts.
Been seeing a lot of posts about moving to Texas.
The word Texas comes from Tejas, a Caddo Indian word for friends.
We will welcome you.
But in the spirit of that friendship, come with an open mind and heart. We have a lot of opportunities available and will gladly share them, but you need to be willing to buy into what we built.
Do not bring California or NYC politics here. You are fleeing them for a reason.
They are not welcome here and will serve no purpose but to destroy what we, and our ancestors, have grown.
There are plenty of great things about this state...
Don't try to ruin them
I think we need to ban Pepsi from being sold at restaurants in Texas.
Sell it at the grocery story, but going to a restaurant, asking for a coke... and being told "we only have pepsi" should be a crime.
Jason Steiner was a clerk at a weed shop in Portland.
Three armed blacks came in to rob him.
Steiner grabbed his backpack and calmly left the store.
He then realized that he left his car keys in the store.
Fearing they would find mail in his car with address etc, Steiner returned to the shop drive-thru window armed with his pistol and shot all three of them.
Two died and one survived, but he was later killed in ANOTHER robbery.
The outcome?
Steiner was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
Prosecutors argued that Steiner had many choices available to him, including leaving the area altogether.
‘He could have easily ducked behind a hedgerow or disappeared into a tree-lined residential street without lighting.’
Unbelievable. Criminals are so fucking coddled.
Thank God a jury found Steiner not guilty in October.
