🇬🇧 Revolut secures a banking license in Colombia
British fintech Revolut has secured a banking license in Colombia and will launch full digital banking operations in 2026 with an initial investment of US$35 million.
The company plans to offer savings accounts, credit and debit cards, cross-border transfers, and tailored products like Revolut Pro and joint accounts.
Unlike other neobanks, Revolut will enter with a full suite of services from day one and operate under its own banking license, without local partnerships.
Its peer-to-peer payment tool Revolut Pay and global money transfers aim to tap into Colombia’s US$10 billion remittance market.
