@TheMachine1981@ToonNewsHQ Always thought this myself. 4 over 21/experienced goalkeepers seems excessive. If we somehow found ourselves in the position of having to play our 4th choice keeper id rather that was the u21 first choice than Gillespie
@Im_RobM For us to "compete" we need to overachieve every single season compared to the "big 6". We've been fortunate Spurs & Man U (even Liverpool & Chelsea) have performed poorly at times. But to compete consistently with that ceiling is a big ask. Those above Howe need to do more
@LewisBowden_ Don't get the drama around. He's simply saying we are limited in what we can spend this window because of PSR. Whether he's wasted it or spent X amount doesn't change that now. He's never said he's never had money, or other teams have more to spend. He's simply stating a fact

@liverpool_data @BradleyJamesL10 @BBCMOTD Yeah have to say Klopps dealings In the transfer market have really helped put you on such a good financial footing. If we keep investing in improving the first team. Hopefully it'll trickle down in a couple of years and we'll have sellable assets that aren't first choice
@BBCMOTD A rule where all clubs can spend the same amount as the top revenue earner in the league. Clubs can spend what they earn and any extra has to provided by the owner in full. I.e say man city have a revenue of 300 million. Newcastle have 200m. Owners can gift 100 million
@liverpool_data@ArttuY @BradleyJamesL10 @BBCMOTD Hard act to replace but yeah we could come out of that well if we invest right. Hard thing for teams outside of the 'big 6' is we have to make sure every transfer is a success. Wages is tough for us too, we simply can't offer what you guys can due to our lack of revenue
@liverpool_data@ArttuY @BradleyJamesL10 @BBCMOTD This doesn't paint a true picture through. As a Newcastle fan. We had no sellable assets. We had no choice but to spend to create a squad that could compete. The teams that had the best squad and riches when Psr were introduced are the teams that have benefited
@ToonMouthTyne@CraigHope_DM Should be losing his wages from the point in time when his "injury" occurred and not be paid again until he puts himself forward for selection
@NUFCblogcouk Starting to feel like we're essentially that below average looking guy going up to girls way out of his league on a night out and never learning despite getting rejected left, right and centre
@MagpieGroupNUFC Frustrating that we continue to obey PSR to the letter of the law, whilst other clubs find loopholes and ways around it. We really need to push this and be a little more creative if we're ever going to make headroom and catch the clubs with bigger revenues than us
@FootieWriter Suggestions were there was money to spend this window (100 million plus). We've sold longstaff, almiron, Anderson and minteh since that article and we've signed elanga and moved a bit of the wage bill. My thoughts were were we could afford Sesko but I'm no expert on it all
@FootieWriter These sources are for the end of the 2024 season when we did have FFP issues but a year on we no longer have them thanks to players sales and lack of spending over those windows
@CraigHope_DM All just feels like a very convenient excuse to allow him to justify in his head that he should push for a move. Disappointed in the way he's done it
@oasiscentral_ Wonderwall is an absolutely amazing song that had suffered from being overplayed death and it's immense popularity makes it cool to dislike. When it was realised I was blown away by it
