Another that's going to stick to me is how well dogs understand us humans and that it's associated to the domestication that has occurred for numerous of years. Their social cognition is inheritable and it's really cool to see even puppies understand us! #WhatIlearnedinWR60

I learned about how dogs do have preferences and stronger skills sets in gestural commands vs verbal commands. Canines don't only have these preferences, but each dog/breed has their own particular preferences as well.

Another useful fact I learned is that adding any picture to a tweet makes it much much much more likely that someone will read it. Especially if it's just a cute picture of an animal or a really jarring one. #WhatIlearnedinWR60

I learned about the impact of overbreeding. Not only are health issues an implication, but so is shelter space and the stress and anxiety these dogs experience in these shelters. Veterinarians and breeders need to communicate more.
