@codeofvets@elonmusk Freedom? You mean his trying to steal the 2020 election is Freedom? We got lucky when freedom triumphed over Trump in 2020. We have sacrificed so much for freedom and if Trump is elected again, we will really lose it this time.
@Ewak_12 Not worrying about what aspects of a woman I'm attracted to, for starters. All that matters is I'm attracted to who I show an interest in. Be strong enough to not care what that is.
@BCAuthor21 If you have to ask, then you haven't compared them yourself. So do that. Kindle uses e-ink which is much easier on the eye and some people prefer that. But you can't know which you like until you've seen it for yourself. Borrow someone's Kindle and see if you like it enough.

@BrndnStrssng I don't care what his motivation is, he's dead wrong. It's a cute story, that's all. I don't think people equate mythical dwarfs with shorter people. I never did.
@baddestmamajama This isn't rocket science. You train to get a job that will pay you enough to afford the training in the first place. Some people get their training in college, and some don't. Only the independently wealthy can go to college and not be trained in anything. Plan ahead.
My humble opinion:
1. Writers shouldn't have a chosen "genre". You write what you write and you should have the freedom to switch it up whenever to whatever.
2. Read across genres, categories, etc. Read OUTSIDE of what you like writing. Read for fun, not to study other writers.
@Nnedi I wholeheartedly agree with this. The problem is that with indie authors, choosing a genre and reading it to understand the tropes you need to use is considered essential to success. And most readers of indie stuff expect those tropes. They don't want something unique like I do.
