Housing costs increase when we make it more expensive to build and work more people want to live in places that have less supply versus demand.
Housing is a need. Location, style, etc, is a preference.
@1xaipe The role of government should be that if you’re doing your reasonable best to cover your costs, you’re elderly, or you’re disabled, government should fill the gaps so you can be housed in at least basic housing. The best way is unrestricted, fixed amount vouchers federally.

The contribution is giving someone housing. If you don’t believe that’s something of value, you don’t have to use their property.
