An appeal for urgent compensation and humane rehabilitation.
My name is David Conrad Linus. I belong to the Anglo-Indian community in Supaul district — a tiny minority within a minority, numbering fewer than 100 people in the district.
We fully support development. We are grateful that the Supaul–Araria railway line will connect our region to wider opportunities and strengthen Bihar’s future. We are not against progress in any way.
But development must not leave ordinary families homeless, landless, and unheard.
Our registered family land, held since the late 1970s, was acquired for the railway project. Along with the land, we lost our home, our physical base, our livelihood, and the life that revolved around that place. We were given very little time to salvage our personal belongings. In a short span of time, we were displaced from everything that gave our family stability.
The photographs attached shows the exact location where my late mother lived before her passing in 2023, before the demolition and forceful acquisition took place. It also shows me, my wife, and our two children — a family that has been waiting quietly and patiently for justice.
It has now been close to 24 months since the demolition and acquisition. We were assured that the compensation process would begin with payment for the house, building, and premises. That compensation is not merely paperwork for us. It is the difference between continued destitution and the chance to rebuild our lives.
I humbly appeal to the concerned authorities, district administration, railway authorities, and elected representatives:
Please release the pending compensation urgently.
Please consider the human cost faced by families whose homes and livelihoods were taken.
Please hear the appeal of a tiny Anglo-Indian family in Supaul that has lost its land, home, and bearings, and is still waiting for relief.
We welcome the railway. We welcome development. We only ask that the families who paid the price for this development are compensated with urgency, fairness, and humanity.
Jai Hind! Jai Bihar!

IF NOT US, WHO?
IF NOT NOW, WHEN !
I will be joining the CJP members in Delhi on 6th June if nothing changes by 5th June. Any self respecting Minister should resign if things go so wrong... Not to mention the effect on millions of young lives and in fact the future of India.

@Sassafrass_84 "You need power, only when you want to do something harmful; otherwise, love is enough to get everything done." said Charlie. Ask politely, everything is possible. Every owner of every kind is entitled to their property. She did nothing wrong.
@AdamLowisz Absolutely. What will people without children understand. Not as much, probably nothing and that's why young people die because of their decisions.
@ARanganathan72 Never argue with the donkey (govt). They will insist the grass is blue. Healthcare should exclusively be the domain of meritorious students. That's it !!!
