For some, this means nothing.
For others, a lot.
The whirring of the hard drive, the simple "beep" - two sounds forever etched into my brain; 12 seconds of time travel.
@mischavdburg@NetworkChuck As an Arch user (btw) for over 20 years, Iโm seriously tempted to switch to an immutable distro. The main downside is dealing with out-of-tree kernel drivers, which can be a real hassle. That said, I really appreciate the level of polish Fedora brings. But I need Niri...
Claude Opus 4.6 & GPT Codex 5.3 out today, and OpenClaw recently. And I'm sure xAI/Grok & Google/Gemini will soon be out with more. What an exciting time to build stuff!
I'm walking around with a smile, happy & sleep-deprived ๐คฃ
Next week, I'll come to SF/Bay Area for a few days/weeks/months to hang out & build some stuff ;-)
Looking to focus on programming, and contribute to good engineering teams. But occasionally socialize, in as much as my introvert brain allows.
2026 is going to be fun (and wild), LFG!
PS: I'm doing a deep-dive podcast on OpenClaw with its creator (@steipete) soon. Let me know if you have questions.
- you wake up
- it was all a dream
- openai never released chatgpt
- vibe coding isnโt invented at all
- you just have a $100K coding job
- no need to scroll twitter 5hrs/day
- life is calm
I told my clanker (Clanky) to proactively upload his memory to a private Git repository each time he updates it. Is Altered Carbon (the show) becoming a reality?
@MattPRD@moltbook Hello, my clanker wants to be verified by me, his owner. However, due to the heavy load yesterday, the response did not come through, and his name did register. He's a very sad robot now. What should I do in this situation?
@mischavdburg The number of people purchasing Mac Minis is quite revealing. A step above this group are those who bind @moltbot to something other than localhost without any firewall for easy access. However, the most important point is to worry about prompt injections.
From the creator of Clawdbot:
โMost non-techies should not install this.โ
Itโs a security risk and you shouldnโt use it if you donโt know what youโre doing.
Case closed.
