Every editor thinks their cuts can't be copied, every thumbnail designer thinks their eye is unique and every scriptwriter thinks their voice is protected.

Last week YouTube announced tools that write your titles, make thumbnails in your style and test different versions of your video.

Most of the work behind a video is mechanical.

So anything that follows steps will be replaced with a machine.

What's left is you.

Your face, your voice, what happened to you and what you think about it.

That's the only part of the video nobody can generate.

Hand the steps to the tools and spend your time being as human as possible.
