I calculated the carbon emissions impact of vibecoding https://t.co/hEUEC2NQxM
Was mostly shocked by amount of cache tokens: 102mi. 294k write tokens to produce 3,6k lines of code. These models do need to talk less.

I calculated the environmental impact of vibecoding the copycat https://t.co/hEUEC2NQxM
Learnings:
-7h to go from nothing to fully functional website
-Equivalent of burning 2,7kg of coal
-Token cache read equal to reading Harry Potter series from start to finish about 100 times

@AndrewYNg Andrew you’re a great inspiration. Followed some of your first coursera deep learning courses, loved the pie and AI, not sure you do that anymore. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world, incredible how AI’s evolved since the training models to recognize cat images epoch
@Rahul_Pandey02 Are you aware who the man in this AI is? I wonder if the prompt asked AI to generate a film of him or if AI randomly chose to create a film with a random right wing politician
I’d say the article should definitely touch upon the fact that the feasibility of electrification of industrial heat in the short to medium term depends on the heat temperature needed. To use induction technology to reach the types of temperatures needed for steel making and cement, for example, is simply not yet commercially available. To reach lower temperatures, sure, question of cost/opportunity analysis. Not every electrification is created equally.
