The "Middle Class" didn't disappear, it was deliberately dismantled. In 1978, CEO pay was 30x the average worker. Today it's 351x. They didn't get 351x smarter or work 351x harder. They just rewrote the rules so all the productivity gains go to the top while you get a pizza party.
I hate when people glorify overworking. Giving up sleep, proper nutrition, exercise, rest, time with friends and family, and never using your days off or PTO isn't admirable. Too many people wear burnout like it's a badge of honor. It isn't. It's nothing to be proud of.
It smells like burning chemicals outside, there’s smoke everywhere, no one can afford gas or groceries, and we can’t eat vegetables but glad we got to hear some more lies about an election from six years ago! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Casually living through a climate catastrophe, a recession, and multiple wars and genocides. There’s nothing else that capitalism promised us, this is late stage capitalism. This is the only thing it would’ve ever been.
Tubi was like, "What if we took
every single show and movie and television movie they loved during their childhoods.....and then put them all in one place....and made it free?? What if we did that beautiful shit??"
The most tiring thing about adulting to me is how CONSTANT it is.
There is ALWAYS some shit to sort out.
You 'chilling' means you're probably just ignoring the million things on your to-do list.
The 9-to-5 system should be completely
abolished. Workdays should be 10-3 or 9-2. There's no reason people should spend most of their lives at work. Let people go home and have time for their families, partners, friends, and rest. This is why so many people hate their jobs.
Millennials really watched everything collapse in 2008, then got handed student debt, got called entitled for wanting a living wage, survived a pandemic in our prime years, and got priced out of life. And y’all wonder why we’re not okay? We’ve been in survival mode for 20 years.
