Loving @ABC@Disney 24 hours of https://t.co/gA0w8iTsui reporters highlighting their home states special American feature (wanted to be a farmer after story 😂).7 Natural Wonders-amazing.Learning lots of history thru Native Americans and slave descendants eyes.Excellent! @FCC
@Martina My Dad was D-Day +6.Grateful for the +6 because it gave him a better chance for coming home.He was definitely affected by being a part of WWII- PTS for sure. It would be so great if no one ever had to face war again. Now I have to worry for my grandchildren:(
@TripleNetTyler This is because of the Palisades Fire. Many residents where their homes burned down, are now renting in other areas Did not realize that their voting address had changed. Still wanted to vote in LA, which is our right. His ballot will be checked for his home address.
@charise_lee Happened to me, on a large river. Guide’s head got bashed on a rock. My husband ended up having to row (no prior experience) and he eventually got us all down the river but it was crazy with a few ending outside the raft. Luckily everyone made it safely back in.
@turbotax@TeamTurboTax turns out that H&R Block has a whole section on the Palisades Fires 2025. All you have to do is update your Disaster page to include the Palisades Fire and I could continue to be your customer.
@turbotax How can you not have the Palisades Fire of 2025 listed as a major disaster for those of us who would like to pay taxes before 2/28 when your price goes up.IRS recognizes the fire as a major disaster. Please add to the Disaster Page pull down ASAP. Very frustrating! :(
.@BrettFavre With all due respect to one of the greatest QBs ever — I didn’t grow up knowing where the Packers played, what Lambeau Field was, or why people proudly wear cheese on their heads 🧀😄.
I watched. I learned. And now I get it.
That’s how @NFL football works. And honestly, that’s how the Super Bowl halftime show works too. It’s not about only watching what you already know — it’s about discovering what millions of your fellow Americans already love.
Bad Bunny isn’t “foreign” to the Super Bowl — he is America too 🇺🇸🇵🇷🎶. Different sounds, same country, same game.
The Super Bowl is big enough for frozen fields, cheese hats, country music… and Spanish lyrics.
That’s not losing tradition. That’s America showing how big the tent really is. 🏈❤️
And you should try Tembleque, Alcapurrias and Mofongo! Don’t be sad, be happy!
@elonmusk Dear Elon, I would like to personally invite you to the Palisades.I would be happy to take you on a tour of the Palisades to show you that rebuilding is happening in our beloved town.Donating to help fill insurance gaps for individuals rebuilding would be greatly appreciated. TY
WATCH: @CBSEveningNews anchor @TonyDokoupil’s closing commentary from Minneapolis....
“There is so much to say about the last 24 hours, but sometimes what matters most is what is yet to be said at all, and what we all still need to hear. By now, we’ve all seen the videos. Renee Good is alive and those videos, behind the wheel of her SUV, her three children expecting mom home again soon come. And we’ve seen the freeze frames, too. We’ve heard the political warfare, the clashing declarations about what happened, and unfortunately, we know the ending for Renee Good. Nothing is going to change that. Yet what we have not yet heard his one another. I spoke to people today who haven’t slept since it happened, who want ICE out now, who don’t like masked men on their street, don’t want their neighbors arrested, don’t want families ripped apart.”
“I’ve heard, too, not on the streets protesting but in passionate notes in my inbox from people who want to see our immigration laws enforced, legally and peacefully and with safety for all, including the officers who, in many cases, are also parents themselves. These are both deeply American sentiments.”
“But our job now is may be the most American thing of all. It’s to find a way to live with people who are genuinely different from us. To try to be fair to them, and in doing so, to make things better, and keep things decent. Because in America, no one else is going to do it for us. It’s not my job to tell you what to think about what happened here yesterday, but I can tell you we owe our children a nation that is better than the one we live in today. And I can say that because we all know it’s true.”
In the current context, we are seeing an actual “short circuit” of #HumanRights. The right to freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, religious freedom, and even the right to life are being restricted in the name of other so-called new rights, with the result that the very framework of human rights is losing its vitality and creating space for force and oppression. This occurs when each right becomes self-referential, and especially when it becomes disconnected from reality, nature, and truth.
For Renee Nicole Good
Killed by I.C.E. on January 7, 2026
by Amanda Gorman
They say she is no more,
That there her absence roars,
Blood-blown like a rose.
Iced wheels flinched & froze.
Now, bare riot of candles,
Dark fury of flowers,
Pure howling of hymns.
If for us she arose,
Somewhere, in the pitched deep of our grief,
Crouches our power,
The howl where we begin,
Straining upon the edge of the crooked crater
Of the worst of what we’ve been.
Change is only possible,
& all the greater,
When the labour
& bitter anger of our neighbors
Is moved by the love
& better angels of our nature.
What they call death & void,
We know is breath & voice;
In the end, gorgeously,
Endures our enormity.
You could believe departed to be the dawn
When the blank night has so long stood.
But our bright-fled angels will never be fully gone,
When they forever are so fiercely Good.
