@VP Thank you, MVP. Your strength and dignity are so admirable. I’m trying to carry that with me for the next 4 years and remember that if you can do the job this country needs of you, so can we.
@brianros1 And their decisions are so consistently conservative but in doing so they are legally inconsistent — applying opposite logic to get to conservative outcome every fucking time.
Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum: "If even a small percentage of what the United States allocates to war were instead dedicated to building peace and fostering development, it would address the underlying causes of human mobility."
@RepNancyMace Is this really the best use of your time? Harassing one of your coworkers? Don’t you have something better to be doing to help Americans?
If @HouseGOP really wanted to protect women, they'd release the Ethics Committee report on Matt Gaetz' alleged sex trafficking - not try to ban their colleagues from using the bathroom. Stop the bigotry and release the report.
This election result isn't about Dem messaging.
Their messaging during the campaign was about helping the middle class, continuing with sound economic policies, affordable healthcare and education, the rights of women, strengthening the border, unity.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz formed a balanced ticket filled with character, intellect, and genuine love for this country, and they eloquently delivered their vision better beautifully.
This election result is about racism, misogyny, lack of education—and an irresponsible media that caters to those realities.
There is no messaging that can overcome prejudice and ignorance, and those two factors are the only explanation for Trump even being the nominee and getting 75 million votes.
We need to stop pretending there is some perfect Democratic candidate or magic messaging to reach people who have abandoned objective reality and chosen to embrace their fears and phobias, while failing to do the slightest bit of work to know what candidates' policies and plans are.
The Dems didn't fail America, they just exist in a nation where far too many people don't pay attention or care to understand what's actually happening. Maybe they will now.
I’m excited by the news that the President-Elect will appoint @RobertKennedyJr to @HHSGov. He helped us defeat vaccine mandates in Colorado in 2019 and will help make America healthy again by shaking up HHS and FDA. I hope he leans into personal choice on vaccines rather than bans (which I think are terrible, just like mandates) but what I’m most optimistic about is taking on big pharma and the corporate ag oligopoly to improve our health. Before you mock him or disagree, I want to share with you some quotes that if he follows through show why I’m excited:
“Level the playing field for Americans internationally on drug costs…cap drug prices so that companies can’t charge Americans substantially more than Europeans pay." YES! Colorado currently has an application just SITTING at FDA for us to import low-cost prescription drugs from Canada and we just need their approval.
"In some categories, there are entire departments, like the nutrition department at the FDA that are – that have to go, that are not doing their job, they're not protecting our kids," YES! The entire nutrition regime is dominated by big corporate ag rather than human health and they do more harm than good
“We’ve got to get off of pesticide-intensive agriculture.” YES! We have tried unsuccessfully to better protect people and pollinators from harmful pesticides here in Colorado and we need all the help we can get to take on big chemical companies and improve human health and the environment! For our pollinators and our people! 🦋
He will face strong special interest opposition on these, but I look forward to partnering with him to truly make America healthy again and I hope that we can finally make progress on these important issues.

"If what you want is a centrist campaign that's quiet on trans issues, tough on the border, distances itself from Palestinians, talks a lot about law and order, and reaches out to moderate Republicans, that candidate existed and she just lost"
~John Oliver on dems moving right
One problem with the DNC is that when the Ds have the WH, the DNC is just an extension of the WH. The DNC must be a 365/50-state Base-Building organization, somewhat insensitive to the latest race, but highly sensitive to educating Americans about Democratic Values.
In the coming days there's gonna be a lot of opining about what the Harris campaign did wrong, but this election was not an indictment of Kamala Harris. It was an indictment of America.
He’s patiently standing in line, waiting to vote.
Stop for a second and think about what this moment means for him…what this moment COULD HAVE meant for HIM.
And then thank @JoeBiden for being selfless and for making one of the hardest decisions in his life not about him, but about America.
