I became an Orthodox Christian because it is truth. Not because it is fun, not because it is convenient, and not because it suited my lifestyle. I am an Orthodox Christian because it is the fullness of the faith, the living and apostolic Church as guided by the Holy Spirit.
@Ruminations01@fazbear_Groyper@BaptistClips Indeed, and he wrote wonderful expositions on the importance of the priesthood itself, in line with the teachings of the apostolic faith passed down to, and later from him also. I am certainly not criticising his importance, just making people aware they are not his exact words.
Wonderful @StPaulMinistry Liturgy yesterday at @TheSanctuaryCDL, followed by an invigorating @CopticDiocese-wide Paddle tournament where prizes were awarded to winners, I had a quick lesson, and tried my hand for the first time…This could definitely go places…
@scsvehla I can imagine this isn't true. There must have been a few eastern rite vagante groups that have done this before. Definitely some with female bishops have done the East Syriac rite, and the Byzantine rite is more common.
@maksimologija St Gregory the theologian is quite clear that we shouldn't even be discussing theology if we do not undergo spiritual and bodily (morally speaking) testing and purification. He condemns those who discuss theology as simple intellectual debate.
@britgemma22@lyncey_gilbe@Keir_Starmer@10DowningStreet@BBCNews@SkyNews Except that's not what happened. The man who broke the wpc's nose was remanded in custody as he was already tried and found guilty for the assault on the female police officer. This trial was for a separate charge.
@Orthodixie@patristicpill@realcurtbauer I could never imagine being so callous as to deny a newborn child vital medicine, simply on the basis that they were too young to understand pharmacology. The same logic surely applies to spiritual medicine.
@IFFFMEISTER There is something wonderful in this day and age of attending a church that doesn't dwell on political glories (as it never had them) And instead lint on its beautiful monastic history as the source of its worldview. 😅
@nickcurtis0306@Nigel_Farage I did. It is referring to points from before HnH and the HUCT split at the end of last year. HnH and the HUCT now have no funding link, as Farage surely knows.
